Important tips for fasting during Ramadan.



The Muslim holy month of Ramadan is a holy day for Muslims started on this year Monday, May 6, in most countries of the world. As the month of Ramadan approaches, the talk of the spiritual, psychological and physical benefits of fasting the holy month begins.

However, there are also health stops, medical commandments, which must be paid attention to be the days and nights of Ramadan also full of health and activity and giving.

The most important of these stands and wills:

  •  The need to be careful not to eat at breakfast to avoid the incidence of puffiness, and leave room for snacks between breakfast and Suhur, chewing food well to facilitate digestion, especially for people with digestive disorders and stomach pain. Prolonging the chewing period makes the person feel full, and the benefits of salivary gland secretions are realized.


  •  Delay the meal of Suhur until the last time before dawn, to reduce the sense of hunger and thirst during fasting, and advised that the meal is rich in starch slow absorption, such as whole wheat bread, to maintain blood sugar levels.


  •  Increasing the intake of water and fluids between breakfast and Suhur to compensate for loss of sweating, and get rid of constipation caused by lack of fluids.



  •  Avoid sweetened juices to prevent increased thirst, usually needs a person of 2 to 3 liters of water per day, including liquids such as juices and milk.


  •  Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables because they contain high levels of water needed by the body, as well as salts and vitamins important to the body.


  •  Reduce salt on the table, pickles, salted foods, spices and spices, because in addition to their health damage, it increases the sense of thirst.


  •  Reduce the intake of fatty foods to prevent gastrointestinal and bulging and to maintain the level and slow fat.


  •  The need to exercise a kind of motor activity after breakfast hour, such as walking, to help the body to digest and prevent the accumulation of harmful substances.


  •  It is preferable to start breakfast with dates, a glass of water or milk, a hot dish of soup, and then the salad, before eating the main meal, since the stomach is empty all day long,


  •  Be careful not to drink iced water immediately after thirst all day long, may lead to severe colic resulting from the contraction of the muscles of the wall of the stomach.


  •  Avoid sleeping after breakfast, some people resort to sleep after breakfast directly, especially after eating a large and fatty, which may increase the idle and lazy man.


There is nothing wrong with relaxing a little after eating, with the need to moderate eating.
